Cadaqués: nature, art and culture

We have already told you about the beauty of Cap de Creus on previous occasions, but today we want to focus in one of the most emblematic towns in all Empordà: Cadaqués, located near 20 km away of Camping Mas Nou.

Surrounded by the Natural Park of Cap de Creus and limited on the east by the Mediterranean Sea, the town of Cadaqués has a natural beauty. The labyrinthine streets of white houses which form the old part of the village have inspired artists and characters such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Josep Pla, among others. Precisely here is where we find part of the Dali Route,  a route that goes through all of his work in Empordà and connects Cadaqués with the towns of Púbol and Figueres.

Nature, art and culture go hand in hand thanks to the museums and art galleries, the church of Santa Maria de Cadaqués, and the fortified area with medieval origins. As is this wasn’t enough, we can also find a varied gastronomic offer based on traditional products and dishes. You also can’t miss the most typical sweets of Cadaqués, Taps, prepared in the town since the XVIII century.

We encourage you to visit this special town and share your experience with us. And don’t forget to taste the famous Taps, you’ll surely love them.
