Green Routes from the Pyrenean to Costa Brava.

Today, from Camping Mas Nou and following our ecological spirit, we suggest you 4 green routes from ViesVerdes.cat which you can make on foot or by bike. A really nice way to visit our neighbour lands respecting nature and enjoying de landscape of our territory.

The recovery and adaptation of some old train railways in the province of Girona has made for the actual four green routes connecting the Pyrenean to Costa Brava. These are the 4 stretches the 125km of route is divided into:

Picture 3Iron and coal route: Ripoll – Sant Joan de les Abadesses – Ogassa. A 13 km long route, which owes his name to the important tradition in Ripollès and coal mines in Ogassa. Lots of beautiful vegetation to be seen across this route following the tunnels where the railway tracks travelled.

Little Train Route: Palamós – Palafrugell. This one owes its name due to the old path that followed a little train, which connected Palamós to Girona. This last stretch is only 6 km long.
