In today’s post we will talk about three charming towns that are very near to Camping Mas Nou and for sure you will enjoy visiting in winter and in summer.
This charming town from Empordà is one of the most exceptional places in Catalunya because of its medieval architecture. The town, which has been declared a Historic-Artistic site and Cultural Feature of National Interest, catches our attention because it conserves some feudal characteristics. It is a good idea to walk through its sinuous and narrow streets, go around the Castle, arrive to Plaça de les Voltes and sit down in a café contemplating the magnificent arches.
For lots of people this is one of the most attractive towns from Costa Brava, not only due to its spectacular beaches, but also for the preservation of a big historic heritage full of monuments. Apart from going deep into the old centre, we also suggest going to the top of the Castle, where you will see its archeological remains. It is worth stressing that at the top of the Castle you will enjoy the beautiful views.
Although during the last years it has been defined as an exclusive Resort, because the town offers some leisure areas such as a well-known casino, it is also possible to visit other interesting features. Going to Peralada Castle we can find the Carme convent, a gothic building which is the headquarters of the Castle Museum. From Camping we recommend to do the guided visit. During the visit they explain the cultural importance of the Castle Library. And if you love music, in summer you have to take the opportunity of visiting the Castle and its gardens during ‘The International Festival Music Castell de Peralada’.
They are little towns with a great charm situated near Camping Mas Nou. We recommend visiting them with your family or friends. Do not hesitate to share your experiences with us!
