Holy Week is the most important moment of the year for the Christian religion, a week full of celebrations, with masses, processions, theatrical acts…But it’s not only a special moment for believers, it is also great for everyone (beliefs left aside). Everyone can enjoy the activities organized during the Holy Week!
This year the Holy Week is held from March 24th to 31st and in Camping Mas Nou we will have already started the 2013 season. For this reason, we’ve compiled the activities you can find near us.
In Castelló d’Empúries and Empuriabrava there will be lots of masses, processions and also non-religious acts such as markets, child games, and guided visits around the town and its surroundings. You can check the full schedule here.
Just half an hour away from the campsite, in Verges, every year one of the most important traditional Catalan theatre samples takes place. The “Dance of the Death” is also very famous, played by 5 skulls that jump at the rhythm of the drums.
As non-religious events we recommend you the Market of the Fritter Pastry in Sant Feliu de Guíxols from March 29th to 31st. There are also lots of activities for kids, cultural visits, workshops, etc.
We bet some of these activities have already caught your attention! Have a nice Holy Week!
