Some summers, unfortunately, go accompanied by fires. Some of them are small, but others can destroy a great part of the territory. At Càmping Mas Nou we fully support sustainable tourism, and consequently, the protection of natural areas. Avoiding fires is everyone’s responsibility, and by following some easy tips and precautions we’ll prevent unwanted scares. Getting informed before practicing any activity can be very helpful.
1.- Never throw away lighted fag-ends or other elements that can ignite a fire, neither outside a car’s window nor when walking.
2.- Avoid tasks and activities susceptible of creating sparks, specially during maximum danger periods like summer.
3.- When doing a barbecue, make sure you have authorisation and the barbecue follows all security measures. Move over any close vegetation.
4.- If you go on an excursion or other outdoor activities, never leave garbage nor litter on the woods. Throw them away in the proper trash cans. This is a way of preventing more fire starting points.
5.- In case of using fireworks, stay away at least 500 meters from forests and wooded lands.
In case of a fire:
- Call 112 and alert the neighbours.
- Follow any advice given by the corresponding authorities.
- Stay informed through media and social networks official channels to get the latest security updates.
